About the Role
We are seeking passionate and outgoing volunteers to join our Promotion Team for the Festival of Hope! As a volunteer on the Promotion Team, you will be a key advocate in spreading the word about this incredible, free event that brings our community together. Your role will involve sharing event details across various platforms, distributing promotional materials in local businesses and public spaces, and encouraging online engagement to raise awareness of the festival and its cause. Help us generate excitement and ensure everyone in Charleston knows about this meaningful event!
Key Responsibilities:
Community Outreach:
Share information about the Festival of Hope in local community groups, organizations, and public spaces (e.g., schools, churches, local businesses, etc.).
Build connections with local businesses, libraries, restaurants, and public buildings to display event posters, flyers, and other promotional materials.
Distribute posters and flyers to high-traffic venues around Charleston, ensuring they are displayed in visible and accessible areas.
Social Media Advocacy:
Engage with the Festival of Hope’s social media accounts by liking, sharing, commenting, and reposting content to reach a broader audience.
Create and share high-quality, original content (photos, videos, testimonials, etc.) that highlights the festival’s mission, attractions, and community impact.
Encourage friends, family, and community members to spread the word on their own social media accounts.
Use relevant hashtags and tag the event’s official social media accounts to increase visibility and interaction.
Collaboration & Partnership Building:
Identify potential community partners (organizations, businesses, influencers, etc.) who could help amplify the event’s reach.
Encourage collaboration with local media outlets, bloggers, and social influencers to further promote the event.
Assist in coordinating promotional efforts with local partners to maximize visibility in both physical and digital spaces.
Promote the Event’s Cause:
Help raise awareness of the Festival of Hope’s mission and the cause it supports by sharing event details and encouraging others to attend.
Act as a passionate advocate for the event, speaking about its impact, the free offerings, and the fun activities available.
Team Collaboration:
Work with the Festival of Hope marketing and promotion team to align efforts and stay updated on promotional strategies.
Contribute ideas for creative content and promotional strategies to help boost event visibility.
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, both in person and online.
Active on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), with a passion for community building and advocacy.
Enthusiastic about the Festival of Hope’s mission and willing to share it with others.
Ability to build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community members.
Creative mindset and comfort with creating engaging online content (photos, videos, etc.).
Motivated, proactive, and willing to contribute ideas to the team.
Reliable and able to commit time to help spread awareness leading up to the event.

Your collection is already set up for you with fields and content. Add your own, or import content from a CSV file. Add fields for any type of content you want to display, such as rich text, images, videos and more. You can also collect and store information from your site visitors using input elements like custom forms and fields.
Be sure to click Sync after making changes in a collection, so visitors can see your newest content on your live site. Preview your site to check that all your elements are displaying content from the right collection fields.
